Well it's been a long time since we last saw our high school days. I am starting to remember some of the things, being I just finished my first year as being a parent of a freshman. I work as an asst. office manager at a local luxury car dealership and I own a home in St. Louis Park (so my loyalty is now for Park ,GO PARK!). I spend my extra time at events for my son he is very activein cross country running, nordic skiing and track. He keeps me  very busy!!!!!!

I am not this old am I?  My mind feels 20.  Married 11 years this Sept., have lived in Ramsey for 7 years now.  Two children, Ashley age 8 1/2 and Boston age 4.  Both children love sports, although Ash will be playing Federer soon, and Boston will be scootering to her match.  Love it up here, lots of great friends and neighbors.  Graduated from SCSU in 92 with a BA in Psych/soc.  Have been taking Spanish classes at ARCC and when the youngest is in Kindergarten will go back into the school district and teach spanish to the young ones.  We love to go camping in the summer, and travel to Mzt. or Brownsville in the winters. My favorite thing to do now is to relax on the patio with a cup of coffee early in the morning and watch the birds come for breakfast, before my darlings wake up.

In 20 years so much has happened.  After RHS, I went to SCSU for a year, Normandale for a year, & then the U of M for countless years with a few breaks in between.  I graduated 10 years later with a Degree in English.
I married Thom Matthews in 1998.  I have two beautiful stepdaughters.  Ashley is 17 and Bailey is 14.  We had a daughter, Alea, in 2001.
We bought a bar, THE LONE PINE, in Durand, WI. & nine years later we are still at it.  With some major renovations we have turned it into a sucessful restaurant.  We have snowmobilers in the winter, bikers in the summer, and hunters any other time of the year.
Before the Lone Pine took over our lives we did some travelling.  We really enjoyed Jamaica.
We are very busy, so it is hard to get away.
We try to make time to do the things we really love like camping, hiking & fishing.   We took an amazing trip to the North Shore then up the Gunflint Trail.
We live in such a beautiful area that it is hard to resist jumping on the bike or in the car for a cruise through the bluffs.
When we can't get away I enjoy time with the kids & the many animals in our little zoo.  I love to read and cannot wait until Fantasy Football starts up again.
Back to the past...Ms. Skala scared me into loving English ( I mean that with respect).
Most memories of my last year involved Danny & Michelle (my GRIFF)...the best parts are still a secret.

        Words of Wisdom...
Dream as if you'll live forever,
Live as if you'll die today.

Whoa...names and faces not heard nor seen from in years.
I am currently a 6th grade teacher in St. Paul. I've been doing that for 10 years now. Before that....a freeloading bum....
Seriously though, I taught high school marching bands and drumlines for many years. (That's how I met my wife of 9 years now. She's a percussionist too!)  Taught and competed in Ballroom Dancing before it was trendy and cool.  I continue to do percussion, but as a judge of parades, marching band shows, and as the head judge of the Minnesota Percussion Association where I judge local drumline shows. I've perfomed with various Orchestras and Symphonys, percussion ensembles and drumming groups, and spent 13 years in Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps. Then, had a family...
I have 2 wonderful, energetic boys, and 1 little girl who has taught me how to be extremely patient.
My three kids are, well....into baseball, soccer, football, monster trucks, pretty ponies, legos, matchbox and hotwheels, bikes, skate boards, airplanes, coloring, art....and a multitude of little kid activities.
My wife, Angie, is an assistant property manager for an apartment complex in Brooklyn Park.
So, to keep myself sane, because you have to be a little insane to work with 11 and 12 year olds, I enjoy mowing the lawn.  A lot......

Okay, it seems half the class went into teaching, many at Mankato.  Clearly, I never got the memo.  Instead I graduated from the College of St. Catherine (a lone Lutheran among all those catholics) and received my BAN in nursing.

I worked at ANW hospital in interventional cardiology.  Didn't dig the evening shift and rotating holidays and after five years went on to sell  pharmaceuticals for Merck.  After a few years I got the entrepreneurial bug and opened a dessert shop at the Mall of America with my sister in law (what the heck was I thinking??)  Signed the mongo lease the week of September 11, 2001.  Apparently, timining was never my strong suit.  We survived the Mall for about 1 1/2 before moving on to sell our products to retail  and foodservice  distributors with a few stints on QVC (some good humor there!)

After four years and 2 gazillion hours of labor later, I went back into pharma sales and now work for AstraZeneca's oncology division.

I married my husband Chris (RHS 85') and we have two daughters Erin, 12 and Megan, 9.  Knowing what I know now, I should have opened a Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch:)

We have lived in Minentrista for the past 13 years and can't believe I haven't run into any of the other Minnetrista-ites.

I am fortunate to keep in touch with Jackie Evans (Doncavage) and Sandy Kieffer (Christopher).

Looking forward to seeing you all in September!

Living in Twin Cities for the past 15 years.  Married for almost 13 years to a computer progammer who is now studying to be a future opera perfomer (and to think, some guys just get a hot blonde and a red Corvette as a mid-life crisis).  We have two busy kids, one basset hound,  three parrots, two lizards and about 400 gallons of saltwater aquariums.

I really enjoy my job. I'm a Manager at a medical device manufacturer in the Twin Cities and have been with the company since 1996 in a multitude of positions and functions (Marketing, Supply Chain, Materials, Operations). I got a B.S. in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Has nothing to do with what I do for work now (though aspects of each come in handy at times! :-))

I wouldn't change a thing about my life and I feel very fortunate to be able to say that.

My current hobby list includes golf, running 5/10K's, cardio kickboxing and scuba diving.  Quite a funny list for someone who's not a particularly "active" person!

Jenny Gilpin, Jill Koch and I still get together every couple of months for lunch/dinner but I never run into anyone else from RHS so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

Hello,
Just like everyone else I can't believe it has been 20 years since high school.  I want to thank Lisa Tvetene for getting my profile out here! It's nice when you have a friend that knows you so well.  What would I do without her?  I'm such a slacker! The website is great.  The reunion committee has done a wonderful job!

I thought I would add a little more information to my profile. I live in St. Louis Park with my husband Rodney who I married in December 2002.  We were blessed with twin girls Samantha and Sophia in May 2005.  The girls just turned 2 years old! It's amazing how fast the time goes by.  We survived the infant stage and now are learning how to deal with the wonderful toddler stage!  Well, I'm sure this stage is better than the teen stage.  God help us!

Both Rodney and I work at Allianz Insurance Company.  I have worked there for 12 years and Rodney has been there 16.  Prior to working at Allianz, I was an Elementary Teacher at Beacon Heights Academy.

Rodney and I enjoy traveling. We especially like Madeline Island and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  We also spend time in Lake City with Rodney's family and at my family  cabin in Freeport, MN.

Look forward to seeing you at the reunion!
Kim

Hello fellow '87 grads!

It's hard to believe 20 years have passed, but anyways....

Mr. Lunde's physics classes must have been inspiring for me, because I went on to major in physics as an undergrad at Wisconsin-River Falls. Apparently four years of undergrad wasn't enough for me, so I spent another six years getting an MS and PhD in physics at Michigan State. I currently work as an engineer in medical device development in the Twin Cities. However, since teaching has always been my passion, I am planning to transition to college physics teaching.

On the homefront, I got married in 1995 to my wife Lori, who is also a UWRF grad and current speech language pathologist for a local school district. We moved back to Minnesota (from Michigan) in 1998 and have been here ever since. The biggest event for us occurred in 2001, when our triplet daughters Rachel, Jana, and Haley were born. They are 6 years old now, and to say that life has been busy is quite an understatement!

Incidentally, if any of you had my dad for math (Miles Miller), he and my mom retired from teaching in 1992 and now live on Shell Lake in northwestern Wisconsin.

Greetings to everyone!
