I am reminded every day that I am getting older as I try to keep up with the kids; but 20 years already?

After graduation, I enlisted in the Navy and spent two years in the Nuclear Power Program.  During my enlistment, I received a ROTC scholarship and returned to the University of Minnesota to pursue a degree in Mechanicial Engineering.  

In 1991 I married my best friend; Dawn Tooley, RHS '88.  We have been married happily ever since and have adopted three wonderful children.  Our oldest, Cory, is 12; Grace is 10 and Jake Thomas (JT) is 5.

Upon completing my Bachelors degree I was commissioned into the USNR and spent 10-years in several different units.  I finally found my calling when I spent the last 5-years with the Seabees (Civil Engineering Corps).  In 2004 I completed a Masters degree in Management of Technology--MS-MOT (Similar to a MBA but geared specifically toward Engineers.)

I have been employed by 3M for 15-years.  I began working in the St. Paul laboratories and have since  worked in Menomonie, Wisconsin as a Manufacturing Engineer and most recently in Cynthiana, Kentucky as a Manufacturing Project Manager--making Post-it(R) Notes.

We have a very energetic family and we enjoy spending our time outdoors.  The kids are active on the swim team.  Cory is our budding musician, Grace is our artist, and JT is the chick magnet.  I have run Grandma's Marathon several times and I am currently training for my first triathlon.

It's crazy to think that 20 years have gone by! I attended HTC after high school-advertising art.  But , I've been with Davanni's for almost 18 years. I've been married to Melissa for 9 years. We met at Davanni's where we both work (she's currently the GM at the Edina location and I work in Eagan). I work part time due to our 2 boys. Daycare is too expensive! Will is 3 and Cody is 2 in August. I still draw from time to time. My artwork can be found in numerous Davanni's locations. I recently did a portrait of Bob Hughes for his parents.
I'm glad a reunion is in the works. I know it's a lot of work and I for one appriciate the work the committee is doing!

Hi to all the class1987. I am not working at this time. I have not been working for all most 8 years.I hurt my back at the hospital that I worked for 17 years. As a certified nursing assistant. I am now looking for a new career. I am not getting any for. I am still living with my mom and dad. Looking for work. I volunteer two days a week out a Park Nicollet Clinic  in St Lois Park just to get out  of the house. I hope to see you all there. When it will be.

Hello Richfield Grads. I have lived in Georgia for 14 years now and love every minute of it. Snow free! I have been married to my wonderful wife MerrieHelen for 9 years and have 1 son R.T. who is now 5. It has been great to read how everyone has succeded in life and moved with their lives. I havent been able to keep in touch with to many people from high school, but, I have Tried hard to keep up with Dave Lundeen and Eric Schuck. Well between my family , work, and golf it leaves time for little else. Unfortunatly I will be unable to attend the renunion So, I send my best wishes to everyone and hope you all have a great time. Hope I can make the next one.

WOW!  Time flies when your having fun.! 

My life has been pretty normal I guess you could say.  After High school I did attend Hennipen Technical Institute for a very brief time, school was never my expertise.

In 1990 (17 yrs ago) I married Lance Nehotte  (Richfield 89) and we moved to Yuma, Az where he was in the Marine Corp for 5 yrs.  We then moved to Iowa for 10 yrs, and then now settling in Brodhead, Wi.  

Lance is a Design Engineer for Kuhn Knight Mfg and I am a bank manager for Associated Bank.  I love it, it's truly my calling.   I started out as a teller at a small credit union in Yuma near the base and I have grown from there.

We have 2 boys, Adam (16) and Nathan (13).  Adam now has a set of car keys all his own, and man isn't scary to think what we did when we were his age and had keys!!  He's got a great head on his shoulders so I have every confidence in him.  His hobbies are basketball, music, and his girlfriend Danielle.  

Nathan is my rough & tough kid.  He plays hockey and every other sport that will take him!  He's also my joker!  He's awesome and still my little guy.  My boys are my life!!!

As for my final thoughts... I have been blessed through these past 20 yrs with my husband and my boys.  I have along  the way met many new friends, grown closer to my family, stayed in contact with my long ago friends (Jenny Erb-Bermel), and many, many pets.

I have not attended a reunion yet, so I am really looking forward to this one.  Everyone take care and it sounds like I will see you soon.

Since HS alot has happened...are you ready?!?!
Got a BS in Mech. Engineering and Design. (Minor in Japanese Language)
Lived in Japan for a year with a Buddhist Priest (his wife and 2 children)  in 1990-91. 
Was part of a Solar Car Race team in 1992 that raced from Arlington, TX to MN (Apple Valley Zoo).
Was married. (notice the "was" part?)
Worked in Downtown Mpls. for 10 yrs. for two engineering firms.
Traveled as much as possilbe.

And just when I thought life was going to slow down...
I decided to go back to school!
Now, I'm currently in the process of getting a BS in Nursing and working in Home Health Care to pay the mortgage!
