Occupation: Stay at home Mom
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Ann: I've had fun reading all the bios. Thanks for creating this web site. I graduated with a BFA degree in Graphic Design from Moorhead State University in 1993. I played college volleyball. Twice we qualified for the national championship tournament in Hawaii. I traveled to Europe on a short term missions trip. I met my husband, Mike, during college. He graduated from NDSU in Fargo, ND with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. We were married in 1994. If you would have told me even 10 years ago I'd be on a farm, I'd laugh. And guess what? I love it. This didn't happen over night. The process took many years and moves to get me here. I started out working at General Mills in their Graphic Design department. Then we moved to Fargo. I got a job working in the publications department for NDSU. Then we moved to Wahpeton, ND. I became a stay at home mom and worked from my computer at home in 1998. I set up my own design company: Uniquely Yours Design Studio. Then the opportunity came for us to move again to Mike's home town in Harvey, ND to run his family's farm after his dad died. After much prayer we made the leap of faith and took on the occupation of farming. I've learned so much about farming. I had to learn to drive a grain truck (stick shift... of course). I still do some graphic design, but that is lower on my priorities. I have three boys: James (8), Joshua (6), and Andrew (2). I'm homeschooling them. We love to travel. Friends are what make the best memories! It would be fun to see you all again. :) |

Occupation: market research
Marital Status: Single From Cathy: Well hello again Class of 87! Wow, this site is bringing back memories- what a great idea to put this together!
I have been living in Paris, France for the last year and a half. How did I get here? Let’s see…it started normal enough; after high school I spent 4 years in Madison Wisconsin (undergrad degree), 2 years in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Masters degree) then moved to Chicago in ‘94 to start my career in market research and lived there for 11 years. While in Chicago, I started working for McDonalds in 2000 - yes, burgers, fries, Ronald – THAT McDonald’s. Never thought it would lead to exciting adventures, but it has. I worked in the headquarters in Chicago for five years and then things really started to happen – was sent to Shanghai, China on a brief assignment for 6 weeks in 2005, and then two months later moved to Paris to work in the European headquarters on a two year assignment. I can’t believe how quickly it has gone by! Madame Keller would be so proud. I’ve decided I haven’t had my fill of Europe yet, so I plan to stay here another two years at least.
In my free time, I travel. I’m taking advantage of living in Europe to explore some of the more obscure European countries I normally would never have the chance to – Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Malta, Iceland, Denmark - as well as the more mainstream European cities and countries.
Other than that I try to keep active by rock climbing, rollerblading, walking as much as possible, and have even found a softball team to play on here in Paris! Oh, and I work too, but that’s not as interesting to hear about.
So, I won’t be able to make it to the reunion, but many thanks to the committee that’s working hard to put it together. By the way, where is our fearless class president, Trent Mobraaten, when we need him?? |

Website: www.bebtexas.com Marital Status: Divorced No. of Children: 1 From Ann: Hi all: First off, thanks to Ellaina for setting up this web page....how fun! I am now living in Saint Boni...I love living so close to the lake but it's just a bit too much farm equipment for me! ha. After graduating college I ended up doing something completely different than my degree. In 1995 I started selling marketing data to businesses and still pretty much do that for a company based in Houston. We specialize in Sub-prime consumers. Blah, Blah, Blah.....(smile). Anyhow, I hope to see you all soon! Ann |

Occupation: 4th Grade Teacher
Website: web.mac.com/ssimacek.mac/ - iWeb/Simacek/Welcome.html Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From Keri : I graduated in 1992 with a BS in Elementary Education. I took a 4th/5th grade teaching job in 1992 in Princeton, Wisconsin (about an hour northeast of Madison) where I met my husband, Scott, originally from Hastings, MN. We married in 1994, bought 18 acres in 1996, and built our dream home in 1997. I took a 4th grade position in Ripon, WI in 1994, and I have been there ever since. I finished my Master's Degree in Reading in 1998 from UW-Oshkosh. Our precious gift from God, Jenna Mae, arrived on May 17, 1999. Due to complications with delivering Jenna, we're unable to have any more children, but we don't mind....We struck GOLD with Jenna! She is the WORLD CHAMPION Kitty Cat Amateur Stock snowmobile racer! She has been active and successful in gymnastics too. I'm the Brownie Girl Scout Leader too. I stay active professionally as well and am still active with patriotic organizations including VFW Auxiliary (I'm the secretary), and Legion; I lost my dad, Joe, in 2000 to cancer. Looking forward to reading more about you, RHS Class of '87!! I love to travel (especially Hawaii), four wheel around our property, take pictures, scrapbook, and cheer on my daughter in snowmobile races and gymnastics meets. I also enjoyed a school related to trip to Wales, UK in 2004 with my mom, Rose. We toured 8 castles, 5 schools, and many sights in London. I have remained a die-hard Vikings, Twins, and Wild fan - which is pretty tough in eastern Wisconsin...My brother, C.J. (now called Chris), teaches 5th grade at East (Richfield Intermediate now), and he keeps me posted on the Minnesota sports scene. My favorite high school memory has to be the 1986 State High School Hockey Tournament as a hockey cheerleader. Remember that video of RHS we made for the tournament? One of my favorite RHS teachers was Senor Brett. Of course, Loni Oiseth, was an awesome lady, our cheerleading advisor. |
