Occupation: Claims Supervisor
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 From Traci : This is a great website and it has been really fun catching up on what everyone is doing. After high school, I went to college at Winona State University and graduated in 1991 with a paralegal degree. I also met my husband and we were married in 1991. After we graduated and got married, we moved back to Bloomington. I started working for Northland Insurance in 1991 as a claims trainee and have been there ever since. We eventually moved to Lakeville and have 2 boys. Matt is 9 and Tommy is 7. They keep us really busy and we are having a lot of fun. We like to travel and love to go to Mexico and Florida, where my sister lives. I still see a lot of people from high school south of river. I keep in touch with Tanya (Rowley) Lamacchia who is now living in Texas. My best memories are from band and speech. We still hear from Miles Lundahl at Christmas time. I look forward to seeing everyone at the class reunion. I will update this with photos later. |

Occupation: Stay at home mom
Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Renae: I am no longer "lost"! Thanks committee for such great work. After high school I attended Wheaton College (IL) and graduated with a BA in Philosophy...really practical. At the time I thought I would pursue medicine until my grandmother gave me some sage advice after my junior year of college. She said, "Why work so hard to become a doctor? Why don't you just marry one?" Although it offended every feminist sensibility I had I thought her advice made a lot of sense. I married a fellow Wheaton classmate and pre-med student., Andrew. After fifteen years of being married, I'd say it worked well for me! After graduating from college, I taught high school history for a short time. When me moved to Phoenix, Arizona for my husband's residency I taught G.E.D. preparation classes to teens who had dropped out of high school. Boy, did they have a different high school experience! We currently live in Phoenix where my husband has a private general surgery practice and also does trauma surgery at a Level 1 hospital. I left teaching almost six years ago after the birth of our first child, Justin. We also have twin daughters, Emma and Abby, who just turned three. Needless to say, it has been a busy few years. Not sure I remember much in my sleep deprived haze--thank goodness for video cameras and pictures! Since my parents retired to Phoenix, I have not been back to Minnesota for a LONG time. I am looking forward to returning for the reunion. See you then! |

Occupation: Airline Pilot
Marital Status: Single From David: I graduated from Winona State in 1991, then went on to enlist in the Minnesota Air National Guard, and subsequently attended US Air Force pilot training. I have spent 15 years in the military, and was called to active duty after September 11th 2001 for tours in Afghanistan and Iraq with the 109th Airlift Squadron flying the C-130, a cargo/troop transport airplane. in 2005 I took a job with a small airline (Champion Air) flying 727's out of Minneapolis. I live in south Minneapolis, but have lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, and elsewhere. My degree is in Nursing (RN) but I have never worked as a nurse. My time is spent working, excercising (I am hooked on marathons/trathlons), and I volunteer at a christian orphanage once a year overseas in Myanmar (Burma). I kept up with Aaron Sinykin after graduation, he was a close friend to my family before he died. I have several nieces and nephews that I I spend as much time with as I can. I have been richly blessed in life, and life has been good. (For the picture that was taken of me in front of Air Force One, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time-I don't fly on that crew!) |

Occupation: teacher
Website: panthers.moundsparkacadem - y.org/~jswanson/ Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Joel: I just ran into Shawn Olson at Target. He must be in sales. It seems he has talked a few of us into registering here. My wife and I purchased a home in Bloomington last year. We love it. The three kids and one dog love the large yard. Is four years old too young to start mowing? If we stay here I guess we'll end up cheering for the Jaguars. Huh. After HS I went to the U for a year and then transferred to Concordia College, Moorhead. I got my degree in French. I lived and taught in France for most of a year, then came back to Minnesota for a while. I ended up teaching French in an elementary school in Atlanta. My colleagues and I would take 25 fifth graders and many of their parents to France each spring. Guess which ones were the most trouble. In 1996 I served as an interpreter during the Summer Olympic Games for the president of the Burkinabé National Olympic Committee. During my last few years in Atlanta I spent a lot of time at Thrashers games. It sure was strange seeing a 10 foot picture of Damian's head. I married a southern belle in 1998. We moved to Minnesota in 2000. Before leaving Atlanta I promised her that if she didn't like Minnesota we wouldn't stay. I think she likes it here. I know she loves the cold and the snow. Our son was born in January of 2003. Our first daughter was born in October of 2004, and our second daughter was born in October of 2006. Can anybody out there tell me when we will be able to sleep again? I don't often run into classmates. However, I work with Pat Gleason's sister, Marisue. Anybody remember Che Ku? At our back-to-school night a couple of years ago, I ran into him in the hallway. His three children would end up enrolling at our school. I sent him a note with this website. We'll have to see if he registers. |
